Kemp Chiropractic, located in Jacksonville, Florida, was founded in 1970 by Dr. Frank H. Kemp and carried on by his family with Dr. David E. Kemp.  Dr. Frank Kemp often told his children how he could help people with headaches, asthma, anxiety and back pain although not quite sure why it only worked on eighty percent of the people he treated.  That is when he met Dr. Ted Carrick and realized how much more complex this system really is and why his son David obtained an additional degree in Functional Neurology.

 

Chiropractic has many techniques some taught stabilization of the pelvis (Gonstead) others taught stabilization of the neck (Grostic, Palmer, Nucca). These are great techniques but, like Dr. Frank Kemp said, they work about eight out of ten times. The nervous system is dynamic and reflexogenic, and constant motion with many sensory and motor receptors waiting to activate or inhibit. With Functional Neurology Dr. David Kemp pays close attention to these receptors with respect to activation, fuel delivery and fatigue ability.  This is the future of Chiropractic.
